Terme Portorož located on the Adriatic coast, it is the center of excellence in Slovenia and one of the best in Europe for thalassotherapy. Terme di Rogaška Slatina located in eastern Slovenia, amid hills and woods, it is the largest Slovenian medical Spa and one of the most important in central Europe. Rimske Toplice ("The Roman Baths") located in eastern Slovenia, the city owes its name to the Romans, who exploited the benefits of its thermal waters. It is famous for the unusually high concentration of minerals in thermal waters, in which there is a rare combination of minerals to find: calcium, boron, selenium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, iron and hydrogen carbonate. Terme di Bled are located in the northwestern part of Slovenia. The lake, the green woods, and the Julian Alps form a charming backdrop. The baths frequented since the mid-1800s for their thermal waters containing calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, sulfur chloride, iron oxide carbonate, and other mineral salts. Strunjan Spa rises to the south of the Slovenian coast characterized by high cliffs and beautiful beaches. Terme Radenci, located in the north-eastern region of Slovenia, Radenska mineral water with a high natural CO2 content, is one of the most abundant mineral waters in Europe. The health center offers swimming pools, water games, and saunas. In the center, equipped with the most modern equipment for 3D ultrasound diagnostics, a high-level medical team takes care of effectively treating diseases of the circulatory system, metabolic dysfunctions, urinary tract diseases, etc. Besides, mud with high sulfur content is used in treatments to relieve muscle pain and chronic skin irritations.

Terme Čatež located in the southeast of Slovenia on the bank of the Sava river, in the plain surrounded by hills, they boast the largest water park in the country of around 12,000 m². The Saunas Park covers 1500 m². The baths are home to acrato-thermal water springs famous for their unique properties, being rich in calcium, magnesium, hydrogen carbonate. The Spa houses the first Slovenian therapeutic center for the treatment of diseases of the osteoarticular and nervous system, with a department dedicated to the rehabilitation of athletes. The center has a hospital ward and medical assistance 24 hours a day with experts in physiatry, neurosurgery and orthopedics.

The Slovenian baths boast a history dating back to different historical periods, the first founded by the ancient Romans. The healing waters of Slovenia linked to numerous legends and stories. Almost every Spa has its own legend concerning the discovery of the springs. At one end of Slovenia, the water with miraculous powers had been discovered by the mythological horse Pegasus, on the other hand, the ladies rejuvenated with the help of spring water. Slovenian thermalism, as we know it today, dates back to the early nineteenth century, when the healing properties of local waters scientifically ascertained. Around the springs, mostly in the east of Slovenia, the first thermal establishments were built with annexed services to host visitors, including the exponents of the European aristocracy and rulers, e.g., the Bourbons, the Habsburgs or Napoleon Bonaparte. Thermalism in Slovenia, as in other European countries, was initially curative.

From the beginning of the 1900s, the spa resorts were transformed from health centers into resorts and social life, becoming a tourist product, recognized as thermal stations and cities able to attract customers from distant places. They frequented by members of the high society and aristocracy.

The two world wars interrupted the arrival of the tourists who left in the post-war period when the thermal centers increased thanks to the new geological drilling method, which allowed the creation of new springs. The 1960s saw the modernization and creation of tourist facilities and the arrival of international tourists, mainly from Austria, Germany, and Italy.

The consequence of the Balkan Wars in the 1990s was the drastic decline in tourism in Slovenia. The government subsequently encouraged the development of traditional spas towards a new model of holistic centers that include prevention and wellness services. The result was, for example, the construction of large indoor and outdoor pools fed with thermal water and used for fun and no longer solely for treatment. At the beginning of 2000, the political situation stabilized and the tourist industry followed a new development towards the high-quality tourist product, focusing on some sectors, including the spa one.

Slovinsko je známé svými léčivými termálními a minerálními vodami. Má až 87 termálních a minerálních pramenů roztroušených po celém území, které se vyznačují rozmanitými vlastnostmi, jenž slouží k léčbě mnoha různých nemocí, např. kardiovaskulární onemocnění, osteoartikulárního aparátu, gastrointestinálního aparátu a tak dále. Příležitostí pro sport a zábavu je zde opravdu nespočet. Téměř všechny lázně mají vodní hřiště a termální zábavní parky. Není náhodou, že slovinské lázně si často vybírají rodiny s dětmi, pro které jsou určeny četné služby a úlevy. Ve slovinských lázních můžete sportovat po celý rok: například v zimě můžete spojit lyžování v Alpách s lázeňskou dovolenou, v létě nabízejí mořské lázně různé vodní sporty, na jaře a na podzim můžete využít cykloturistiku. a turistické stezky. Dále jsou zde různá golfová hřiště, minigolf, tenis, petanque. V některých lokalitách se můžete věnovat kanoistice, lovu, rybaření nebo jízdě na koni.

Slovinsko je zemí, kam podle legendy dovezl Jáson své zlaté rouno. Ale první svědectví pocházejí z doby paleolitu: c.d.
